Why choose Chefchaouen
Its blue-washed lanes are among the most famous images of Morocco. You wander between Outa el-Hammam square, the kasbah and the Ras el-Ma spring, and nature lovers can add the Akchour waterfalls, about thirty minutes away.
Why choose Tetouan
Largely rebuilt by Andalusian refugees at the end of the 15th century, its medina is one of the most authentic in the country. Below it, the Ensanche from the Spanish protectorate lines up its white facades, and the school of arts and crafts lets you watch artisans at work.
Both in one day?
It is possible with a private driver: an early start to Tetouan, Chefchaouen in the afternoon and back to Tangier in the evening. It is a long day; if you can, a night in Chefchaouen is more relaxed.
